As this unit has now come to an end I look at how I have grown in my knowledge1 on how the performance and rehearsal have taken place in both good ways and bad.
for my group to really get where we wanted to I can not say it was easy but we managed to get there through hard work this was done by coming to rehearsals on time and deeply looking into what had to be done and changed these shows are dedication.
The things we specific did to get our peace was done some research on other artists that we know that we cold either sample some of their rhythms and make it part of our tune, however, this was harder than expected for everyone had all different types of music and different artists, one of the songs was loving you by Minnie Riperton everyone was shocked to why I picked this but in my mind there is so much you can do with one song by slowing it down, speeding it up, even an acoustic version, all these things were thought about, however it was fountoohard for other, so we diced to start of from scratch.
I started of by playing random notes just to find something that sounded nice and natural and the by my luck I started playing the notes C,D,E, F and after playing it over again and agin everyone agreed that this should be are melody, /into or even course. After playing this tune the band started looking at things they could be adding in to make a well played song that will go well with the video that was given to us.
My contribution to the performance I would say was very effective for it was partly the main melody, and in a performance the audience will be the ones to recognise and remember that however to be by the drummer base and guitar, it really brought it together, not so much that everyone would be on their feet but something quite laid back.
Although I had a wonderful experience with the performance their is always room for improvements such as the tempo the band was going, not to say it was bad because we stayed in time and kept a steady pace, but I noticed it was quite slow, and this may of made the peace more less boring so if we had let the tempo up a little then it would be fine.

CHARLIE HEBDO
- What is Charlie Hebdo and what is it about? Its an magazine that don't hind from the truth of the world just because it can hurt someones feelings.
- Who is claiming responsibility for the shootings?0s
- Why did they attack? Because they took affiance towards the article about profit Mohammed and the said it was .
- What was it about Charlie Hebdo that caused such offence? So a vase amount of Muslims took offence however others took it as racist but it was argued not to be.
- How does Salman Rushdie feel about it? Salman feels that have the freedom to speak what you want is right because if so it is not freedom, sometimes the truth hurts.
- What did George Galloway say about it? He was against Charlie Hebdo for he felt that the article provocked the the people to get to that angry.
- Do you think the incident broke Freedom of Expression laws? I believe that it did because this may make others feel like they can never truly express how the feel or if they want to put a point across.
- Do you think the shootings were an act of terrorism or protest? I believe there are many ways to protest however from my point of view it was an act of violence and even tho maybe to them they was trying to put there point across but that is not a way to do so by even taking lives.
- What do YOU think about the whole situation? I feel like that with everything that was going on and that lives were lost in this situation so its very hard to even voice your opinion without hurting someones feelings and thats what the whole point was about Charlie Hebdo how he voiced his opinion and it got the wrong side of others, in all this its not really voicing your feelings and opinion just because others may take effence.
Everyday sexism
In today's lesson, we looked a video about how it would be like if men were women and it was very eye opening.
How effective do you think this film is a protest? How else could you protest about the lack of equal gender rights? I genially believe it is more than effective for it was something that has never been done before and may some sort of revelation towards men and woman
Which of these songs do you think are effective and why?
- How did this make you feel as a man: As a man, this opened my eyes to what possibly goes on in a woman's everyday life and this created the sense of sympathy for them, this may also change a man's way of thinking on how he may value a woman.
- It can be said that we live in a patriarchal society, one that is ruled by men rather than being equal. What do you think would happen if we lived in a matriarchy?
- Do you find what happens to the man in this film shocking? What difference does it make that it's a man?

Singing Workshop
In todays workshop we was going over warm ups, this would be good in the future for when we may be performing just something that would make you as a singer be sure and ready to go on stage.
We began by using the keyboard and going up in scales to test us in are rage as well however as we went along it got harder and I felt as if I should push my self harder but that was not the case as we was advised when we get higher we should lay back in our voice and take a softer attempt towards it.
This really helped me and will continue to do so.

FREEDOM OF SPEACH
In todays lesson we touch on a very hard and harsh topic on weather freedom of speech has the right to offend, Now I feel this is to deep of an topic to share personal thoughts for people lost there lives over this, however dose that mean I should be silenced, or even shaken to voice my opinion if even if it threatens my life I would say no the true meaning of freedom of speech is to share whats on your heart, Yes I DO FEEL for the people that were killed but for the ones that killed them was utter cold blooded murder and was despicable way to voice there opinion, WHY NOT right an article back that my even change the way of others mind.
Band Rehearsal
in todays rehearsal we was doing a song about the 60s when they wanted peace however it was very hard for them back then, to give a peaceful message no one would really want to hear however not everyone would want to join or hear what others have to say, so why not make a hit song were they have no choice but to hear it if it becomes one of the best, these are clear examples of how music can really change the world for the better.
REHEARSAL
In todays rehearsals we was continuing our song on peace and protesting through songs and music. I found this song very realistic it just takes out all the anger and religion and wars and its really teaching that we as a world should come together as one and just be together.
We started of by having the instrumentalist come in first and keep playing so we could all get in to the mood of the song I felt like it was better done this way so that the can really understand the song and be able to present it through the music.
As we continued to playing and went alone I would come in with the lyrics and start singing I noticed that the instrumentalist were playing much stronger but not hard but more of an confident vibe towards the song I felt that once everyone knew were to play things were gong where they needed to be.

Pussy Riot
Who are Pussy Riot? They are a Russian Feminist group that protest there opinion on woman rights.
What do they protest about? They protest that woman can be mistreated in comparison to men they do this by making music videos and songs their music genre is Punk Rock.
What happened on February 21, 2012?
What is a 'guerilla gig'?
What were they protesting about specifically?
What issue do they have with Vladimir Putin?
What happened to them? They faced many situations and even that included physical abuse when theses girls where protesting they were being whipped pushed and shoved about all around the place however at times you do find that their way of there protesting is can be a un plesent sight so see.
Do you think their protest was offensive? Why? Personaly I do fee like it was to much to bee going in a church to protest as after all that is the place of worship and where people go to build a religous relationship however when doing a protest how else are you meant to be notice if there was just to do it outside it would have been just like any other protest but as much as disresecfall it was to do so in the church it got them attention.
Do you think their punishment was fair? Why?
