Evaluation

For this whole unit I have learn that one of the fist things you as an individual should be looking at is my independent learning of my role and parts, this would mean not only should I be doing rehearsals at college, however at home as well or even some free time of mine this would simply brig the whole peace together and would also make some individuals stand out and not not only that but this will bring ideas that may make our bands song much better by adding in changes.

There are so manny things to think about when it comes to reliability in rehearsals well I mean people  are bound to be late or absent , and as a performer you would have to learn to deal with the situations like that for example at one point our drummer wasn't in due to her being sick so we as a group had to come up with a plan to reherls with out her through that I had the idea that on the keyboard I could set a time metronome, to keep everyone in time this was good for it gave us hope that we could keep our band in a good order.

Another thing with bands is the level of communications skills and how we as a band will interact with each other because its good to build a relationship however this can be hard for you will have to take on other responsibilities such as tacking others members of the bands details such as. Phone numbers,Emails, or even on social media usage , just by having a good communication level will be good however some in our band may not be comfortable and as a band you would have to respect there wishes,however a result this lead to a panic on the day of are performance as we didn't know where are drummer was to be honest everyone is to blame in a situation like that for if we had any sort of contact it could have been prevented however everyone should be responsible for there own actions.

One thing that should be on your mind besides thinking about what your playing and how your playing it but how the audience is being effected and if your performance is being delivered well however this dose not mean as a singer you should be running around on stage but to either be calm and composed, for example are performance I felt like the way we was set on stage are lead singer should have kept the attention all on her I feel like this will make the audience to be phicly attracted to her and through that they will then be able to focus on the lyrics and and you would just be able to feel the song along with it , there is so much that can be done in the topic of engagement with the audience such as encouraging them to get involved an example of this would be rather the song will have to be up beat in its tempo or even to be at a steady pace e.g. a {4/4} beat through this you could introduce clapping where in that case the audience will not be able to contain them selfs and would apply join in.

Besides all theses things one of the mean topics to think about is the contribution to the musical arrangements so this would mean if you put a part of your idea of the song in the peace for me this came in rehearsal wiles there was a brake and at first it sounded empty for it was only the drums playing so I simply asked the band members if they could listen to my idea so I told them about how it sounded and by putting a just a few cords it could make the whole thing sound so much better so, after the talk I then decided to see what cords I would be able to play and even if are other keyboardist would be able to play a harmony to it, so I listened to the song oneness more then I thought the cords should be C,D,and E, doing that brake with the drummer, after a few practice individually we then played together and right after we was done we as a band could see how much we have improved, and for my self I could see how it also gave me the idea of leadership.

Through out this whole unit 2 I think it took leadership thats why are performance was very successful I do feel like everyone in the band showed some sort of skill of leadership for example sometimes I can understand going through something so manny times can be frustrating but in some situations people would take brakes and that gives off a careless attitude and this may cause you as a performer to put in less work if others are dong the same but to be a leader you would have to take charge in the correct manor and a serous way so that your fellow band members can recognise the hard work your willing to put in however you never want to be forceful because this can allow others in your band to work at all, but judging by our performance clearly theses leadership skills was put to good use.

  

Rehearsals 5

Today was was kind of a struggle for we had no drama as we was going she was going to be running late, so we decided to work without her as we had to work without her so we started of with the keyboard playing the keys c,e and d this was going to be our intro as we had me on the keyboard

However this was going to be hard for be as I was singing as well so to accompany myself can tend to much harder than just play or just singing, so now I will have to learn however this is good and will help me in future reference.

what precations can be taken ?
-on stage you would need to look out for the things in turms of, if the band can hear them selfs however that its not too lowed for the people that are receiving the music.
                   
-with head phones you would have to be as more protective as doing a live show for you could be listerning to music for a longer time than going to a concert for example for me to get to collage by a bus its an 2 to 3 hours journey and during the journey my earphones will be around the max level that would be very bad for my ears and would lead to manny problems in the future.

Rehearsal 4

Today we fully was on are jobs and on the ball thanks to ben for teaching me how to use the desc we got straight to work so we thought of using a solo of me on the keys and it sounded nice but I still felt like there was  lot we could add in but I did feel worried because I new we still had a decent amount of time to rehears.

As we was playing the song one person in the group played on song on there phone and  said if we should do that song which was" HEAVEN&HELL" By meek mill and I said how I liked a rhythm and rith in the song and I played it along with  I NEED A DOLLA and I noticed the conceited with the same notes which was C,D,E and I thought why don't we combined them I  wasn't sure on how the others will take it but I still asked them how they feel about it and they was all fine with it and said it was a very good idea. 

So we played it over and over and sorted out the arrangements of where we pu in the rhythm and so forth before we new it are time was up but it just lead us to look forward to next week. 

BAND LEADER

I feel like to be a band leader it takes being more wiser than others but also the thought in  your mind it doesn't mean take over and make sure everyone dose what you want but instead have others share their ideas because that could be way better to how you personally would put a song with instruments.

Also you would have to be a person that can set examples so if there are rehearsal you would have to make sure that you are there early and that others are there to however this would have to be done in a calm and collective manor , so this mean not to be forceful but to simply show others so they could follow and also when progress has been seen make sure others are aware so they feel good in some way to either encourage them to keep going.

A band leader can also take a step back to see what others can do without him /her so they can see where they can improve serten things in the whole song.

Rehearsals 3

As for today we started to knuckle down and finally decide to get on to the instruments however it was hard to get the instruments at the right level of sound this would be good for one are ears and so that no one was overpowering each other so Ben showed me how to use the desc and showed me how to locate what exactly is low why it is for example the desc has a mute button and sometimes we as a group will get set behind because we will be waiting for someone to sort the problem and we will think there is a misconception that the sound isn't working the really it was on mute and the problem could be done with a flick of a button also I remember the desc had a level were it should be in some way estimated that the sound should be at that level.

Rehearsals 2

For todays rehearsal it was my turn to see what I could bring to the table in terms of songs I felt like this was hard for I new my music would be nothing anyone in my group would listen to son I still took in to consideration that everyone will want to enjoy playing and to give a good performance to,
so gave the suggestion of "I NEED A DOLLAR " and it seemed to me that most of us was up to it but one however I simply asked others for there opinions on what they think we could add in or if they want a different song but things was good as we realised and assed the song as in what instruments we here playing ad-libs and so fought, apart from that we got a lot done in that rehearsal that would prepare us for are next one.

Rehearsals 1

Today we started looking at what songs we should perform in a couple weeks time, as a group we started discussing what genres and what type of songs we are all interested to and how we could find a way to either come to and agreement or merge songs together in some sort of way.
we first looked at Jhenea Iko and be honest this song only suited one person in our group that could of been fine the only thing was that the song consisted with  more technical beat to it like an 808 on logic compered to a dumb kit.

however we tried to work with the song for it was only fear and we could of made are own style to it, we all looked at other songs for the person who's tern it was that week to see what songs they can bring and how we feel like it will be able to be delivered.

Live Performance Roles

A live performance role is very important when it comes to live bands or single artist that are planning to get them self out there in the music industry if thats the case which most situations it will be then you will need these sets of things or people to get you where you want to be lets take a look at these roles. 

No1:Booking agent, to me I would say the bigger the better with a booking agents so this means if theres a gig or some sort performances for example this will be good for everyone so this could boost the confidence for the band or the artist to let them know they have supporters or fans, also a booking agents would have to have good communication skills, because they must be able to convince the people organising the venue that there band will be able to bring a good gig or performance, this could also build up good relationships.

No2:Promoters will think about how much everyone can be paid and deal with how they can in some way make an good judgement also , they can help the actual artist reach there targets to have a better performance which could help them sell out and blow up as an artist to band even.

No3:Tour mangers is a person that organises the appearance of the artist even the band however they are only needed for large scales of events so if not they will not be needed if it was for a small event they also make sure life on the road/plane is easy and that the artist doesn't have to worry about whats going on around them but only to focus on the music.

Performing live is not something to be take light, for example for a performer will have to keep in mind manny things so that when they are on stage they can be sure to be safe and for the performances to go on well.   

RISK OF STUDIO/LIVE PERFORMANCE

• RSI(repetitive,strain,injury  
• poor posture 
• ear damage 
• skin canser
• vocal strain 
• mental health 

To understand these risk is very important because they can save you from hurming your self in this  music life style,stopping at a sudden for example if an artist was starting to go on tour and they had to set up there own stage the role of an roady.    

WHO INSPIRED YOU

There are manny people that keep me going when it comes to music because even when I feel to give up its the same music that keeps me going its like a reminder to myself to tell me not to give up because to me its my future so if I give up now I have nothing I mean it may sound over the top if my dream was killed it will still hornt me.

I  like "J.COLE " for one we have the same birthday but apart from that he is a wise written and for that he doesn't sing or wrap about things that people want to hear but about the things you don't want hear and usually that will real to the truth, you can also relate to his songs well you at least feel like you can hats how powerful they are for example there is one song I particularly love its called "LOVE YOURS"  and what I love about it he says "no such thing as a life better than yours" and to me it shows that even as you feel like that having money and riches it dosnet make your life any better to some one else because they will always be some with a bigger car better house.
